Poco X8 Pro Max Launches in India as First Phone with Dimensity 9500s, Packs Massive 9,000mAh Battery

Poco has launched the Poco X8 Pro Max in India, making it the first smartphone to debut with MediaTek's Dimensity 9500s chipset. The phone leads the Poco X8 Pro series and focuses heavily on performance and endurance, pairing the next-gen chipset with a massive 9,000mAh battery and super-fast charging. Alongside, the brand has also launched the Poco X8 Pro, bringing a slightly more compact design while retaining many of the same gaming features with a toned-down processor.

Poco X8 Pro Max Specifications and Features

The Poco X8 Pro Max is designed as a performance-centric offering in the lineup, combining the new Dimensity 9500s chipset with a massive battery and advanced cooling. The phone uses Poco's 3D IceLoop cooling system with a large heat dissipation area to maintain sustained performance during gaming or heavy workloads.

For gamers, Poco has introduced WildBoost optimisation, which enhances responsiveness with features like 24x Super Resolution Touch and 1.5K Super Resolution gaming. The phone also supports 120 FPS in several popular titles like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile.

One of the most striking upgrades is the massive 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which Poco claims can deliver multi-day battery life. It supports 100W HyperCharge fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging, allowing it to function as a power bank for other devices.

The Poco X8 Pro Max also focuses on durability and a premium design, featuring a metal frame, fibre glass back and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The phone also carries the IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings.

On the display side, the phone packs a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, slim bezels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

For photography, the Poco X8 Pro Max features a 50 MP Light Fusion 600 primary rear camera sensor with OIS, paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 20 MP front camera for selfies.
