Back in June 2026, Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon Summit 2026 event date that will be held in Maui, Hawaii. With the September 22 event now just a month away, the brand has now confirmed that it will debut two "Elite" mobile chips.
Two New Snapdragon "Elite" Processors Are Coming This September
The official Snapdragon account has confirmed via an X post that Qualcomm will unveil two new Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile chipsets at the Snapdragon Summit event on September 22, 2026. The post is accompanied by a short 42-second clip and a caption that reads "When Two Changes the Game".

The message in the short clip further confirms that "Dual 8 Elites are coming soon". This is in line with earlier leaks which have hinted at the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipsets. These chipsets are expected to power the next generation of flagship phones, including the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and Oppo Find X10 Ultra.
Recent Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 leaks have suggested that both the new 8 Elite processors are likely to come in 2+3+3 configurations, with 4th Gen Oryon cores. A key difference between the two will be the GMEM and type of RAM; the standard Gen 6 is expected to come with 12 MB GMEM and LPDDR5X support, while the Gen 6 Pro will likely get 18 MB GMEM and LPDDR6.
Earlier this month, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro AnTuTu scores leaked online, hinting at a substantial jump in performance. With early benchmarks putting it at 4.84 million points, the upcoming chipset could set new standards for mobile gaming. With just a month away from the Snapdragon Summit 2026 event, we should get more information about these chipsets in the coming weeks.
