RedMagic 11 Air Debuts as a Slim and Powerful Gaming Phone with Massive Battery

RedMagic has officially unveiled the RedMagic 11 Air, which is a gaming phone with flagship-level hardware, advanced cooling and an unusually large battery tucked inside a slender frame. The phone arrives as an ideal choice for gamers and performance seekers.

RedMagic 11 Air Specifications and Features

At the heart of the RedMagic 11 Air is a 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. This screen also benefits from high-frequency 2592 Hz PWM dimming, DC dimming for more comfortable viewing in varied lighting conditions. 

Under the hood, the RedMagic 11 Air is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with RedMagic's in-house RedCore R4 gaming chip. There's also up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. 

Meanwhile, on the software front, the phone runs on Android 16-based RedMagic OS 11.0 and includes gaming-centric enhancements like the CUBE Sky Engine for optimised performance. Cooling is a standout feature as well, as the RedMagic 11 Air incorporates an active cooling fan to keep thermals in check during extended gaming sessions. 

RedMagic has also equipped the phone with professional shoulder trigger buttons with a 520 Hz touch sampling rate, enhancing control in supported games. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and dual SIM support. 

As for cameras, there's a 50 MP main rear sensor with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, while a 16 MP under-display front shooter takes care of selfies. Other practical touches include stereo speakers and in-display fingerprint security. 

Perhaps most notable is the 7,000mAh battery, the largest ever seen in a RedMagic Air series phone, paired with 120W fast wired charging and bypass charging support. 

RedMagic 11 Air Price and Availability

At launch in China, the RedMagic 11 Air price starts at 3,699 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 48,000) for the base 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. There's also a 16 GB + 512 GB variant available to purchase.

The phone will go on sale in China from today, on January 20, 2026, in the Quantum Black and Stardust White colour options, with an Aurora Silver shade slated to arrive later. 

It's safe to say that the RedMagic 11 Air will not launch in India, which is rather disappointing since it does seem like one of the best gaming phones in the segment. However, the good thing is that the phone is all set to go global on January 29, 2026, at 7:00 EST (5:00 PM IST).
