Redmi 15 5G Launched in India with a 7,000mAh Battery

After multiple teasers and updates, Redmi has finally made the 15 5G official in India. The brand's latest budget offering is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery and a 144 Hz display, among other specs. Here is a rundown of the detailed specifications, pricing and availability of the Redmi 15 5G in India.

Redmi 15 5G Specifications and Features

One of the key USP of the smartphone is its battery. So, let's start with that. The Redmi 15 5G features a 7,000mAh silicon carbon cell. It is complemented with 33W of USB-C charging and 15W reverse wired charging.

Even after packing a sizeable battery capacity, the smartphone manages to stay slim at 8.4mm. It is also lightweight at 217 grams.

Another key highlight of the Redmi 15 5G is its display. The device is equipped with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with 144 Hz of adaptive refresh rate.

It can reach up to 850 nits of peak brightness and is protected by TÜV Rheinland's circadian, flicker free and low blue light certifications.

Under the hood, the smartphone draws its power from the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. It is paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone also supports microSD card expansion of up to 1 TB.

Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Redmi promises two years of software upgrades and four years of security updates for the 15 5G. The OS is sprinkled with several AI features like Circle to Search, AI Edit, AI Translation and more.

Coming to the optics, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup housed within a metal top-left aligned camera island. It is home to a 50 MP main sensor and an undisclosed secondary camera.

Additionally, the selfie camera is an 8 MP f/2.2 aperture shooter.

Apart from this, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an official IP64 rating for enhanced protection. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone gets Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-SIM 5G and GPS support.

In terms of audio, there is a mono speaker at the bottom and a USB-C 2.0 audio cum charging port.
