Redmi 15R 5G with a 6,000mAh Battery Launched in China

Redmi has officially unveiled the budget 15R 5G in China. It packs a 6,000mAh battery, the Dimensity 6300 chipset and HyperOS 2. Read on to know its complete specifications, as well as pricing and availability details.

Redmi 15R 5G Specifications and Features

The budget Redmi phone features a 6.9-inch 120 Hz LCD display with 240 Hz Touch Sampling rate and up to 810 nits of high brightness. The panel also gets Wet Touch 2.0 tech and is backed by TUV Rheinland's Low Blue Light, Rhythm-Friendly and Flicker-Free certifications.

Under the hood, it draws its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and can be paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Redmi is shipping the 15R 5G with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Features include an audio booster feature to toggle the volume up to 200% on the single speaker, Xiaomi interconnectivity features, and AI-powered tools. 

The brand has also managed to encase a 6,000mAh battery within a 7.99mm chassis. It supports 33W fast USB-C charging. However, the device is also on the heavier side at 205 grams.

Optics-wise, there is not much going on with the smartphone. It brings a dual rear camera setup with a 13 MP main sensor and an undisclosed secondary lens. The selfie camera is a modest 5 MP unit.

Apart from this, the device ships with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM 5G support, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.

Redmi 15R 5G Price in China and Sale Date

The Redmi 15R 5G starts from 1,099 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 14,000) for the base 4 GB + 128 GB model. There are also the 6 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB configurations. The top 12 GB + 256 GB variant costs 2,299 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 28,500).
