While both phones share the same displays and cameras, the Pro+ adds faster charging, a bigger battery and a Snapdragon chipset to the mix

Following its debut in China, Xiaomi has now taken the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G series global. The lineup includes the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, designed to raise the bar in the upper mid-range segment with solid displays, massive batteries and impressive cameras.

Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G Specifications and Features

There are quite a few similarities between the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. For starters, both phones are equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz 12-bit OLED display with 3,200 nits of peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on top. However, while the Pro takes to a flat panel, the Pro+ features a quad-curved display.

The two phones pack very similar cameras as well, with a 200 MP main rear shooter and an 8 MP ultra-wide rear shooter. However, at the front, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro gets a 20 MP selfie camera, the Note 15 Pro+ gets an upgraded 32 MP lens. 

Additionally, both phones bring an official IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating, an optical fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, dual SIM 5G, an Infrared sensor and a USB-C 2.0 port.  

Regarding performance, while the Note 15 Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 7400 Ultra chip, the Pro+ features the newer Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. Both phones ship with Android 15-based Hyper OS 2.0 update out of the box.

As for the battery capacity, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a 6,500mAh cell, the Pro packs a slightly larger 6,580mAh unit. The Pro+ takes the lead in terms of charging speeds though, offering a faster 100W wired charging support over the Pro's 45W limit.

Talking about the pricing, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G price starts from $399 (approximately Rs 36,100) while the Note 15 Pro+ 5G starts from $449 (approximately Rs 41,000). These are the prices for the base 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variants of both phones. 

While the brand hasn't revealed the official Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G launch date in India, expect the phones to launch in the country this month itself. So, stay tuned.
