Redmi Turbo 5 Max will go official this month
The latest Redmi Weibo post has confirmed that the all-new Redmi Turbo 5 Max will go official in January 2026. This is the first time Redmi has included a Max-branded smartphone in its "Turbo" lineup.

It is positioned as the top-of-the-line offering, with a focus on performance, battery life, quality and overall experience. Moreover, the post has revealed that the phone will target the 2,500 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 32,500) price range.
This is a clear indication that Redmi Turbo 5 Max will compete in China with the likes of the Honor Win RT, which also launched recently in the same segment. Even Xiaomi mobile division President and General Manager, Lu Weibing, commented saying that the Turbo 5 Max will be the "best choice in the 2.5K price range for 2026".

As for the specs, at the time of writing, no other details about the upcoming phone have been revealed yet. Early leaks and rumours point to an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a metal frame and MediaTek chipset for the phone. Also, just like the Honor Win series, expect to see a big battery housed inside the Turbo 5 Max.
That said, we will have a clear idea once more details are shared by Redmi. This year, the Turbo lineup is said to gain three new models – Redmi Turbo 5, Redmi Turbo 5 Max and Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max. Upon launch, there is a strong possibility that the lineup will be rebranded as the Poco X8 series for India and the rest of the world.
