Alongside the Redmi K90 series smartphones, the Redmi Watch 6 also went official in China. The latest smartwatch from the Xiaomi sub-brand brings a new self-developed processor, HyperOS 3 and more. Here is everything that is new with the Redmi Watch 6.
Redmi Watch 6 flaunts a super bright 2,000 nits AMOLED display
Starting with the design and display, the Watch 6 from Redmi features a 2.07-inch 60 Hz square AMOLED display with 2mm narrow bezels and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. It uses a special IC/EL light-emitting material for better outdoor visibility and brings 324 PPI pixel density.
The display is encased within an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy chassis and is complemented with silicone straps and optional Kona leather magnetic straps.. There is also a functional crown and a quick-access button on the right side.

Under the hood, the smartwatch is powered by the AFE chip from Xiaomi, which is said to be power-efficient while delivering commendable performance. Moreover, the smartwatch ships with the HyperOS 3 update and brings several of the new OS skin features like Xiaomi Super Island, smart device control, third-party app pairing, AI tools and more.
Talking about customisation, there are now several new watch faces with new adaptive designs and floating portrait dials. Other than that, there are also new calling features like quick replies in WeChat, voice prompts, text presets, emojis and more.

Now, coming to fitness and health, the Redmi Watch 6 can support up to 150+ sport modes along with upgraded algorithms for precise step tracking, stride length, movement trajectory and more. It also brings a new dual L1 antenna and high-precision GNSS chip for accurate outdoor route recording.
Health and wellness-wise, the smartwatch brings all-day heart rate tracking, SpO2 monitoring, stress measurement, sleep tracking and more. There are also new guided breathing exercises, up to 5 ATM water resistance, dedicated women health management and more.

Talking about battery life, the Watch 6 is rated to last for up to 12 days in typical mixed usage and 7 days with Always-On Display enabled. However, Redmi claims that users can extract up to 24 days' worth of battery life in the basic usage mode. The smartwatch has a 550mAh battery inside.
Apart from that, the smartwatch brings Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, sensors like Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Geomagnetic, Xiaomi Sports Health app compatibility and more.
Lastly, talking about the price, the Redmi Watch 6 has been officially listed for 599 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 7,400) in China. Interested folks will be able to choose from a Silver and Black option for the watch and a Lunar Silver, Classic Black and Misty Blue colourways for the strap.
