After teasing the Galaxy F36 5G last week, Samsung has finally launched the device officially in India. It targets the sub-Rs 18,000 smartphone market in India with specs such as a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, 6 years of promised upgrades and more. Starting with the display, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy F36 5G with a 6.69-inch Full HD+ sAMOLED panel. It is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus+. The display is surrounded by thin black bezels on the side with a relatively thick chin and a waterdrop notch cutout at the top for the selfie camera.
The display is further encased within a 7.7 mm plastic mid-frame, which is also part of the vegan leather back panel. It is home to the pill-shaped triple camera module in the top-left corner with an LED flash and the bottom centre-positioned Samsung branding.
Speaking of cameras, the triple camera setup is home to a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS and 4K video support, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a third 2 MP macro sensor. The selfie camera is a 13 MP shooter, and it also supports 4K video recording capabilities.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Samsung Exynos 1380 processor paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It also comes packed with a 5,000mAh battery with 25W USB-C charging support. However, Samsung has not bundled the charger in the box. It has to be purchased separately.
Coming to the software, the device ships with One UI 7 based on Android 15. It brings several productivity and camera focused AI features alongside Samsung's Galaxy AI, like Circle to Search, AI Depth Map, AI Edit Suggestions and more. Additionally, Samsung is promising 6 years of software and security updates for the Galaxy F36 5G.
Apart from this, the device also offers some standout features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, NFC, GPS, and a USB-C charging cum audio port. The Samsung Galaxy F36 5G supports Tap and Pay functionality via Samsung Pay.
