Samsung has been teasing the Galaxy M36 5G for a while now. While it was already confirmed to be a “Made in India” device, the launch date remained under wraps, until now.
The brand took to its official Twitter handle to confirm that the Samsung Galaxy M36 5G will launch in India on June 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM IST. Besides, a dedicated Amazon microsite also went live suggesting the device's availability on the e-commerce platform.
Thanks to this microsite, we also know that the phone will be coming in the Orange Haze, Velvet Black, and Serene Green colourways. However, that's not the end of it.

The brand has also confirmed the Galaxy M36 to arrive with 7.7mm thickness, making it 15% slimmer than its predecessor.
In terms of optics, there is a triple rear camera setup at the back housed inside a pill-shaped module. This module is home to a 50 MP primary camera with OIS and 4K video support, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a third 2 MP macro sensor. The selfie camera is a 13 MP shooter, housed within a waterdrop notch.
Additionally, the smartphone will also bring Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection to the display. It is part of a relatively thick bezel that surrounds the LCD panel.
This is all that we could gather from the microsite regarding the core specifications of the Galaxy M36 5G. However, one thing is certain. Samsung's Galaxy M36 5G also sees added focus on AI. The same has been marketed heavily throughout the microsite and even carries the "Monster AIcon" tagline.
From Circle to Search to camera-centric AI features like AI Depth Map, Night Portrait, and AI-powered photo editing, expect to see a lot of AI integrations throughout the core smartphone experience.
Other than that, an earlier Geekbench 6 listing revealed the Exynos 1380 chipset for the phone, along with 6 GB of RAM and Android 15-based One UI 7. The design is also similar to the Galaxy M56 5G that launched in India for Rs 27,999 in April 2025. So, we can expect the M36 5G to circle the Rs 25,000 mark. With that being said, we will know more soon as the launch date nears.
