In a move that shouldn't surprise many, Samsung has increased the prices of the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra in India. The price revision affects all three models across their storage variants, with the increase ranging mostly from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000. The Galaxy S26 Ultra's higher-storage variants have received the biggest hikes, of up to Rs 25,000.
According to an official document Samsung has released for retailers, the revised pricing applies across the Galaxy S26 series. Here's a rundown of the prices before and after the hike:

Starting with the entry-level Samsung Galaxy S26, which debuted at Rs 87,999, it now costs Rs 94,999 for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant. This represents a Rs 7,000 increase over its launch price. The 12 GB + 512 GB variant has also gone up by Rs 7,000, from Rs 1,07,999 to Rs 1,14,999. Prior to this, the Galaxy S26 had been selling at a discounted price of Rs 79,999 for a while, which makes this price hike a bigger hit.
The Samsung Galaxy S26+ has actually seen a Rs 10,000 price reduction across both storage variants. The 12 GB + 256 GB model now costs Rs 1,09,999, down from Rs 1,19,999, while the 12 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at Rs 1,29,999, compared to its previous price of Rs 1,39,999.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the 12 GB + 256 GB variant has received a Rs 6,000 price increase, taking it from Rs 1,39,999 to Rs 1,45,999. The 12 GB + 512 GB model has also gone up by Rs 6,000, from Rs 1,59,999 to Rs 1,65,999.
The top-end 16 GB + 1 TB Galaxy S26 Ultra has received the steepest increase of the lot. Its price has jumped by Rs 25,000, from Rs 1,89,999 to Rs 2,14,999, taking Samsung's flagship past the Rs 2 lakh mark.
This shift mirrors recent moves by Apple and the majority of smartphone makers around the world. For those unaware, following the debut of the new iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Duo, Apple increased the iPhone 17 price to Rs 99,900.
With the Galaxy S26 series' price now up, Samsung has lost its competitive edge when it comes to the base variant. The Galaxy S26 now costs Rs 3,099 more than the base iPhone 17, which could spell trouble for the Korean giant.
With top-tier brands now charging steeper premiums, buyers looking for high-end hardware might have to stretch their budgets further. Furthermore, the ongoing RAM crisis isn't going away anytime soon and is expected to last through the year 2029, with severe, lasting effects on the industry.
