It's the start of the new year and we are kicking it off with a fresh new leak for the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. The next top-tier flagship from the South Korean brand has been revealed to bring a new display feature, which could solve a major issue for 99% smartphone users.
Galaxy S26 Ultra will safeguard your display contents from others
The good folks over at SammyGuru managed to gain access to a new Privacy Display feature which is supposed to make its way via the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It was initially spotted by Android Authority last year within a leaked OneUI 8.5 build. However, we had no idea how this new feature would work at the time.

Now, by using a smartphone as a spoofed Galaxy S26 Ultra, the publication has managed to reveal a demo tutorial of the said feature within the Samsung Tips app. According to that, the new Privacy Display feature will be located inside the Display menu within the Settings page.
Once turned on, anyone viewing the display from top, sides and bottom angles will not be able to read the contents properly. This will make it a hard job for those who have a knack for knowing what's going on with others' smartphones.

To make this work, it is said that Samsung will use a new kind of display tech dubbed FlexMagic Pixel. It will use AI to adjust a screen’s pixels based on the viewing angle. It can also intelligently detect unwanted screen attention and alert the user by showing a pop-up to turn Privacy Display on.
At the time of writing, only FlexMagic Display tech has been confirmed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung gave a demo of the tech back in September last year. However, there is no word yet on Privacy Display. We expect the announcement to happen next month since the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also expected to go official at that time, so we should learn more then.
