Samsung is set to launch its "W" series foldable this year and as always, this one will be exclusive to the Chinese market. The firm has begun teasing the arrival of the Samsung W26, a premium special edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Samsung W26 is a premium Galaxy Z Fold 7 for China
Samsung has officially announced that its upcoming W26 book-style foldable will launch on October 11 at 4:00 PM CST (1:30 PM IST). The teaser image, posted on Weibo, shows the silhouette of the new foldable and confirms the launch date.

Like the Samsung W25 last year, which was based on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the W26 will be based on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Following the tradition of the W-series, the W26 is expected to arrive in black, red and gold accents.
While the design will be unique, the internal hardware is expected to mirror that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This includes the Snapdragon 8 Elite with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. The device will feature a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner foldable screen with an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.

The camera system could also be identical to the Z Fold 7's with a 200 MP primary snapper, a 12 MP ultrawide and a 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The battery will be a 4,400mAh unit with support for 25W charging and 15W wireless charging.
For those unaware, Samsung launches W foldables in China to cater to its luxury market. The distinctive colours of the devices, especially those revolving around Red and Gold, are often connected with luck and happiness. Another reason Samsung makes the W series is in response to its market position in the country.
