Back in 2022, Sennheiser introduced the Momentum 4 Wireless headphones in India, quickly making them a favourite among audiophiles. Now, almost three years later, the German audio giant is bringing the premium over-ear headphones back with a special facelift to celebrate its 80th anniversary. While the specifications remain the same as the original model, the 80th Anniversary Edition stands out for its bold new design. Sennheiser has teamed up with renowned German graffiti artist Bond Truluv, adding a splash of yellow to the brand’s signature black finish.
Both the earcups feature a graffiti art-styled design to indicate the brand's German origins. The left earcup features a “Throwie” styled character to indicate the "transformative power of music". Meanwhile, the right earcup has been designed to mimic the look of the Sennheiser HD 414, which were the world's first open-back headphones.
It features "dynamic sound waves and intricate detailing" with a yellow "80". Apart from this, the lower portion of the padded headband has a bright pop of yellow with the left and right earcup indicators denoted by the same colour.
Now, coming to the headphone's specifications, both earcups feature a 42mm transducer system with a supported frequency range of 6 Hz to 22 kHz and an active impedance of 470 Ω (60 Ω passive). It supports the A2DP, AVRCP and HFP sound profiles for a clear, rich and dynamic listening experience.
For calls, the headphone uses a dual beamforming MEMS microphone array with frequency range of 50 Hz to 10 kHz. It is complimented with Hybrid Adaptive Noise Cancellation.
Connectivity-wise, there is Bluetooth 5.2 with support for SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX adaptive codecs. The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphones are equipped with a 700mAh battery unit which can deliver up to 60 hours of continuous playback.
Apart from this, Sennheiser offers several customisation options with the Momentum 4 Wireless headphones via the Smart Control Plus app. For instance, users can make use of the built-in equalizer, audio presets and personalisation options to curate their listening experience. It is available for both Android and iOS.
Inside the box, there is a hardshell carrying case with the headphones inside along with a USB-C charging cable, a 1.2 meter auxiliary cable, an aeroplane connector and a quick start guide.
