Sony appears to be preparing a new premium headphone lineup and fresh leaks have now given us our clearest look yet at it. Newly surfaced renders of Sony ColleXion Headphones reveal a redesigned look, colour options and what could be a major improvement to Sony's long-criticised hinge design.
Sony ColleXion Headphones Renders Leaked
The renders arrive courtesy of OnLeaks and Android Headlines, showcasing the ColleXion headphones in two colours – White and Black. The renders are accurate to prior headphone spottings in the wild, where an actor from the F1: The Movie was seen walking around wearing the headphones in NYC.

While the new renders don't reveal any specifications of the headphones, they do point towards a big structural change. If you have followed Sony's flagship headphones over the last few years, the hinge design has received criticism for breaking, starting from the WH-1000XM5s.
One of the key additions to the latest WH-1000XM6's was a stronger hinge mechanism, but Sony could double down on the same on its ColleXion headphones, offering a completely reworked and sturdier hinge. This should prevent these headphones from snapping under daily pressure.
Beyond just structural improvements, Sony is also targeting the luxury lifestyle market with its ColleXion headphones. The two colours revealed from the renders are expected to get much fancier names. Looking closely at them, the headphones could be wrapped in premium vegan leather, versus the hard plastics found on the XM series.
Users can also spot a USB-C charging port tucked into the right ear cup alongside tiny, seamless integrated noise-cancelling microphones. While there's no official information about the headphones or their price, early rumours point to a price tag of $639 (approximately Rs 61,000).
While we don't have the exact Sony ColleXion Headphones launch date yet, considering it has been spotted online a couple of times, an official announcement from Sony might be just around the corner, so stay tuned.
