Sony's WF-C710N TWS earbuds were introduced in the U.S. a few months back. Now, the brand has finally launched its latest pair of earbuds in India. Featuring 5mm drivers, up to 20,000 Hz of frequency response, an IPX4 rating and more, these earbuds come under Rs 9,000. Here is a complete specification breakdown of the earbuds, along with the pricing and availability details.
Sony WF-C710N Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, build and durability, the Sony WF-C710N features the standard "bulb-shaped" earbuds, which are signature to the brand's lineup of TWS. However, this time around, Sony is bringing a semi-transparent design language to the earbuds, or more precisely, to one of the colourways.
The Glass Blue variant of the WF-C710N feature a see-through plastic resin casing that gives us a glimpse into its internal components. Both the earbuds and the charging case follow the same transparency route. The eartips are also a tad bit translucent, matching the overall theme of the Glass Blue variant.

The charging case is in a capsule format with a top lid for ease of access. It weights approximately 38 grams. The earbuds are also lightweight at 5.2 grams (per earbud) and are IPX4 rated for sweat and splash resistance.
Now, coming to the sound quality, the WF-C710N feature a 5mm driver on each earbud and has a frequency response of up to 20,000 Hz, with a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz. The earbuds are backed by Sony Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) that restores the "high-frequency elements that add detail and richness to a track".

Users can further tune the bass, treble and mids of the WF-C710N via the Sound Connect app, using various presets or via the 5-band custom equaliser. The earbuds are also 360° Reality Audio and Spatial Sound certified.
The WF-C710N also come with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and AI-based noise reduction during calls. Sony is using something called the Dual Noise Sensor filters that can basically use the onboard dual-microphone array to filter out background noises during calls and audio playback. Additionally, the same microphones can work in tandem with the noise sensor filters for the most effective Wind Noise reduction.

Apart from this, Sony claims that the feedforward and feedback mics on the WF-C710N can "capture more of the ambient sound" in Ambient/Transparency Mode. Additionally, users can tweak the transparency mode by up to 20 levels using the Sound Connect application.
There is also a voice passthorugh feature, which is basically the ability of the earbuds to intelligently detect conversation and pause the audio playback for a seamless conversational experience.

Talking about connectivity, there is support for Bluetooth 5.3, with an effective range of up to 10 meters and A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP Bluetooth profiles. The supported codecs include SBC and AAC paired with SCMS-T content protection protocol.
The earbuds have built-in sensors for music playback and call controls. It also supports Google Fast Pair, Dual Device connectivity, Sptify Tap, Amazon Music Play Now and AI assistants.
Lastly, coming to the battery life, the Sony TWS are rated to last for up to 30 hours with continuous music playback. The earbuds can be fully charged in 90 minutes with USB Type-C charging supported. It also supports fast charging, so a 5-minute charge can offer up to 60 minutes of continuous playback.
