After teasing the Sony Xperia 10 VIII launch last week, the phone has now finally gone official for the global markets. Compared to the Sony Xperia 1 VIII globally, the Xperia 10 VIII is a mid-range phone offering specs like an OLED display, a Snapdragon processor and more, while retaining the iconic 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Sony Xperia 10 VIII Specifications and Features
Right off the bat, the immediately noticeable aspect of the Sony Xperia 10 VIII is its design. The phone retains the core look of the Sony Xperia 10 VII but has refined it further. It still retains the horizontal pill-shaped camera bar from the last-gen model.
However, the Sony Xperia 10 VIII features translucent accent materials throughout, giving the design a seamless look. The back panel offers a matte finish, good at resisting fingerprints and smudges. The phone comes in Frozen White, Frosted Grey and Misty Lilac colour options.

At the front, the Sony Xperia 10 VIII gets a 6.1-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz LTPS 10-bit OLED display in the tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio and features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The panel is utilising Sony's Triluminous display material and offers nifty features like Creator mode, ITU-R BT.2020 (REC.2020) and D65 White point.
For performance, the phone uses the mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. There is also microSD card storage expansion support of up to 2 TB. Surprisingly, the phone ships with Android 15 out of the box and is promised 4 years of software and 6 years of security updates.

Moving on, talking about cameras, the Xperia 10 VIII retains the exact setup as the Xperia 10 Mark 7. The phone flaunts a 50 MP Exmor RS 1/1.56-inch main sensor along with a 13 MP 123° ultra-wide lens. The selfie camera is an 8 MP shooter.
Sony Xperia 10 VIII comes with a dedicated shutter button to enable quick shooting. The button can instantly launch the camera app and act as a point-and-shoot camera button. Battery life on the Sony Xperia 10 VIII remains the same as the last-gen model, as the phone ships with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 30W charging speeds.

Rest, the phone gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, front-facing stereo speakers, 360 Reality Audio, DSEE Ultimate, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Qualcomm aptX adaptive, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM 5G, NFC, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.
