Back in March 2025, the Chinese smartphone brand Tecno showcased the "world's thinnest smartphone," the Spark Slim at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. However, back then it was still a concept smartphone. Now, a new report hints at the India launch of the device in 2025.
Hindi tech publication NBT report has exclusively revealed that Tecno is prepping to launch a sleek device in India by the end of 2025. It is said to be only 5.95 mm thick and will likely be priced at the Rs 80,000 mark.
Although the "Spark Slim" moniker has not been confirmed yet, it is more than the likely contender according to us. This is because to recall, the Spark Slim was showcased with a 5.75 mm thickness back at MWC 2025. The alleged device is only 0.2 mm thick compared to that.

Hence, it could be that the final commercial model of the smartphone is going to launch with a 5.95 mm thickness which is still very slim. And on top of that, the prototype was said to feature a 5,200mAh battery. So, the same could be true for the final model as well.
If true, this could be the first flagship-grade "Spark" smartphone from Tecno since the moniker has always been used for budget Tecno smartphones. Or it could also be that the name of the final product is not "Spark Slim" at all. However, this is purely speculation.

Talking about the design of the smartphone, the Tecno Spark slim features an iPhone 17 Air like design, with an extended camera bar at the top. It houses a dual rear camera setup with what appears to be a "breathing light" that looks very futuristic.Phon
The back panel appears to be made out of glass with a glossy finish. The overall smartphone has a curved form factor with rounded edges. Even though the smartphone is slim, it still has a noticeable camera bump.
As for its key specifications, the smartphone could feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED panel with up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It is also expected to feature a 50 MP camera at the back and a 13 MP selfie shooter. And as mentioned earlier, there could be a 5,200mAh cell with support for 45W USB-C charging.
That said, since this is a very early-stage leak at the time of writing, take the information with a grain of salt. However, it will be interested to see Tecno jump onto the "slim smartphone" bandwagon with a commercially available device.
