Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its prepaid recharge plan portfolio in India with four new voice-only plans. Starting at Rs 179, these recharges offer unlimited voice calling and SMS benefits without any bundled mobile data.
The new voice-only Vi recharge plans come with validity periods ranging from 25 days to a calendar month. They also arrive shortly after Airtel introduced its own voice-only plans, following the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI) directive to make such plans more accessible to subscribers.

Vi's new voice-only prepaid recharge plans are priced at Rs 179, Rs 185, Rs 203 and Rs 206. All four plans offer unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS, although the cheapest plan also bundles access to the Vi Movies & TV app.

- Rs 179 Vi voice-only prepaid plan: This is the most affordable option and comes with 25 days of validity. Subscribers get unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 300 SMS and access to the Vi Movies & TV app.
- Rs 185 Vi voice-only prepaid plan: This recharge offers 28 days of validity, unlimited voice calling and 300 national SMS.
- Rs 203 Vi voice-only prepaid plan: The Rs 203 recharge extends the validity to 30 days while retaining unlimited voice calling and 300 national SMS.
- Rs 206 Vi voice-only prepaid plan: This plan offers validity for one calendar month, meaning the recharge renews on the same date every month. It also includes unlimited voice calling and 300 national SMS.

Vi's latest voice-only prepaid recharge plans arrive following the TRAI mandate to introduce voice-only plans by October 21, 2026. However, since it's October 30, expect other operators like Jio to likely roll out voice-only prepaid plans soon, too.
