After 7 long years, it appears Vivo is bringing back its "S" series in India. The Vivo S2 has now been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website, hinting at an imminent launch in the country.
Vivo S2 India Launch Right Around the Corner
Folks over at 91Mobiles spotted the Vivo S2 on the BIS listing with the model number V2576. For those unaware, every product that launches in India requires bagging the BIS certification as a final regulation hurdle.

Moreover, this comes right after the publication previously reported that the phone could launch in India sometime in July 2026. So, this listing certainly makes sense in that regard. The Vivo S2 BIS appearance also surfaces after the smartphone was reportedly spotted on the GSMA database carrying the same model number.
Now, while nothing is known about the specifications of the smartphone, the publication suggests it will "enter an entirely different category" of pricing. The Vivo S2 price in India could be set anywhere between Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000.
That means the phone could butt heads with the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R in the segment. So, ideally, we can expect it to offer premium mid-range specifications like an AMOLED display, a massive battery (keeping up with the trend) and a capable MediaTek or Qualcomm chipset (hopefully).
That said, we expect more details about the Vivo S2 to surface in the coming days, along with an official teaser from the brand. So, stay tuned.
