Last year, when Vivo launched the T4 Pro in India, it instantly became a fan favourite due to the addition of a capable periscope camera for under Rs 30,000. Now, in 2026, it seems like the brand is prepping the sequel, the Vivo T5 Pro and the focus this time around is on the battery.
Vivo T5 Pro Could Sport the Largest Battery Ever Inside a "T" Series Phone
A new X post made by credible tipster Yogesh Brar has outed some of the alleged key specifications of the upcoming Vivo T5 Pro. The leaker claims that the phone will launch very soon in India and the biggest highlight this time will be the enormous 9,020mAh battery capacity. If true, this will make this the largest cell capacity ever seen inside a T-branded Vivo phone.

Currently, only a handful of smartphones in India ship with 9,000mAh batteries and above. The recently launched Poco X8 Pro Max is one of them and even the upcoming OnePlus Nord 6 is also expected to join the league. Hence, with the Vivo T4 Pro also shipping with such huge capacity, it will open more options for buyers in India to choose from different price brackets.
Aside from the battery boost, T5 Pro is also expected to gain a faster refresh rate. Bra's post mentions a 1.5K 144 Hz AMOLED display for the phone. For context, the Vivo T4 Pro offers a 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED panel. Moreover, unlike the T4 Pro, which shipped with FuntouchOS 15, the T5 Pro will arrive with OriginOS 6 update based on Android 16 right out of the box.

Apart from that, the phone is expected to retain the same 90W fast USB-C charging support. Although the post has not managed to spill anymore details, we expect the T5 Pro to retain the key differentiators of the T4 Pro and will build on that foundation. Hence, expect the upcoming phone to feature a periscope camera, a newer Snapdragon processor, better glass protection and IP rating and more.
That said, with the current RAM crisis in full swing, we expect the T5 Pro to shoot past the Rs 30,000 bracket and position itself under the Rs 40,000 price point. Since Vivo is expected to launch the T5 Pro in August 2026, we have plenty of months left for more concrete details to emerge. So, stay tuned.
