Vivo has officially revealed that it will be launching a Mixed Reality headset. The firm is calling this new product – Vision, and it's confirmed to launch this month in China.
Vivo teased the Vision Mixed Reality headset in a Weibo post, confirming that the device is scheduled to launch on August 21, 2025, at 2:30 PM China time (12:00 PM IST) at the Vivo Vision conference. The brand then shared a follow-up post with what looks like an AI-generated image of a person wearing the headset.

The company later posted a video further revealing the design of the headset in great detail. It could feature a rotating crown on the right side and a noticeably slimmer profile compared to Apple’s Vision Pro.
The front could house around six cameras, hinting at spatial tracking and mixed reality capabilities. There's a padded head support and woven facial interface for comfort. There are two physical buttons on the right temple, possibly for volume control. The body appears to be made from aluminium.

Aside from the design reveal, details about the headset remain scarce. It’s still unclear whether the Vivo Vision will run on Android XR or an in-house operating system, and the company has yet to share any hardware specifications. Still, with this announcement, Vivo has injected fresh excitement into the XR and mixed reality space.
With Samsung gearing up to unveil its Project Moohan headset in September 2025, it will be interesting to see how Vivo’s offering measures up. More information should surface as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.
