Last month, we learned that Vivo is working on a X200T smartphone for global markets and India. With the X300 series launch out of the way, the brand is said to focus on its first-ever performance-focused smartphone for the "X" portfolio of phones. Now, a new report has spilt the tea on its India launch timeline.
Vivo X200T is likely reaching Indian shores next month
According to tech publication SmartPrix, Vivo is planning to launch the new X200T smartphone in India by the end of January 2026. This will make this the first T-branded phone under the "Vivo X" lineup. Also, with the Vivo X300 series finally official, it will be interesting to see what more the brand has in store for the previous-gen lineup.
The publication claims that the existence of the X200T will be purely "strategic" and is intended to help the brand capitalise on the sales volume for 2026. In fact, it says that in terms of specs and positioning, the X200T will sit right in between the Vivo X200 and the X200 FE.
If this is true, we here at Beebom Gadgets believe that there is a huge possibility that the China-exclusive Vivo X200s is in fact, the X200T for India and the rest of the world. This makes a lot of sense since China enjoys five different iterations of the X200 lineup. With the position of the X200 Pro, the X200 Pro Mini and the X200 Ultra quite clear, it is pretty evident that the X200s is the middle child of the family. In fact, the X200s share the DNA of both the X200 and the X200 Pro.
However, do note that this is merely a speculation at this point. So, until any concrete evidence regarding this surfaces online, take this with a pinch of salt. Moreover, the X200T GSMA database listing last month mentioned the V2561 SKU for the smartphone.
That said, the upcoming phone has not managed to churn up well in the rumour mill at the time of writing. It is still in its nascent stage and we will be able to comment more on this as more concrete details emerge in the future. Since this is going to be a performance-backed X series phone, expect to see a capable processor like the Dimensity 9400, paired with a big battery, fast charging and larger vapour chamber cooling.
