After a bunch of teasers and updates, Vivo has finally launched the Y500 Pro in China. It has gone official as a premium mid-range offering with standout specs like a 200 MP main camera, glass back, dual IP rating and more. Here's a detailed rundown of the smartphone's specifications, pricing, and availability details.
Vivo Y500 Pro is the first 200 MP mid-range phone in China
As it is clearly evident, one of the key highlights of the Vivo Y500 Pro is its camera setup. The smartphone is the first mid-range device in the country to feature a 200 MP Samsung HP5 main camera. The sensor features an f/1.9 aperture and brings CIPA 4.0 professional-grade optical image stabilisation.
Aside from the main camera upgrade, there is also a 2 MP depth camera and an undisclosed third camera. The selfie camera is at the front, is a 32 MP f/2.45 shooter. In terms of videography, the Y500 Pro can shoot 4K @ 30 FPS footage from the back cameras, while the front is limited to only 1080p @ 60 FPS.

Another area where the Y500 Pro shines is in the battery department. It features a big 7,000mAh capacity, thanks to silicon-carbon battery technology. The cell is further complemented with 90W fast USB-C charging support.
Now, even though Vivo has packed such a massive battery inside the smartphone, it has still managed to stay slim at 7.81 mm. The device is also lightweight at 198.6 grams. As far as durability goes, there is a dual IP68 + IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and SGS Gold Label Five-Star Drop and Fall Resistance certification.

Now, coming to the display, the smartphone features a 6.67-inch 1.5K 120 Hz OLED panel with 3,840 Hz of PWM Dimming, SGS Blue Light certification and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the smartphone draws its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. It is paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It is also the first "Y" series smartphone to ship with OriginOS 6 update based on Android 16 out of the box.

Apart from this, the Y500 Pro also brings an under-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, dual SIM 5G and a USB-C 2.0 port.
