Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its prepaid recharge portfolio in India with two new plans, giving consumers more options than before. The Rs 1,050 and Rs 2,180 plans both come with unlimited 5G data benefits. However, they do have one major caveat.

Starting with the Rs 1,050 prepaid plan, Vodafone Idea is offering 84 days of validity with both 4G and 5G benefits. However, unlimited 5G data is capped at 300 GB for every month (counted as 28 days). It also comes with unlimited calling as well as VoNR capabilities and 100 SMS per day.

Similarly, the Rs 2,180 plan also comes with unlimited 4G and 5G benefits for 180 days and here as well, 5G capping is set at 300 GB for 28 days refresh cycle. This plan also offers unlimited calling, VoNR and 100 SM per day.
However, both plans do not bundle in any additional benefits like OTT plans, AI platform subscription, additional perks and more. This makes them less lucrative especially at the premium price point they have been positioned at.
That said, currently both plans are live in the city of Chennai only and prepaid customers can avail the Rs 1,050 and Rs 2,180 plans if they suit their needs.
