WhatsApp continues developing new features for its apps across Android, iOS and desktop. It has rolled out several new features in the past few months and now, the latest beta update for its iPhone app has finally added the ability for Channel admins to reply to their own posts.
WhatsApp Beta on iPhones adds new Channel Reply feature for admins
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now shipping a new update to its TestFlight beta version 26.13.10.70 on iOS, which adds the ability for Channel admins to conveniently reply to their own channel posts and updates.

As it is evident from the above image, there is now a new "Reply" option on top of the floating menu, which also contains options like Forward, Copy, Copy link, Edit, Star, Delete and More. By tapping and holding the channel post, admins will be able to add a reply to an existing channel update.
This is a very useful feature as previously, to add more context or majorly revamp an existing channel post, admins were required to delete it completely. With the new reply option enabled, admins can add new context or share further details via a simple text message. This also removes the need to make a separate new post entirely for sharing information.
A key benefit of this new reply feature is that the original link to the channel update remains preserved. This means that even if a reply is added after a few hours, it will still show up as a new message within the Channel and will also contain a link to the original channel post.
That said, the ability to reply to channel updates by admins is currently rolling out in beta to iPhones. It is limited at the moment and if you are enrolled in the Apple TestFlight program, make sure to update the WhatsApp app to the latest TestFlight version from the App Store.
