WhatsApp's Chat Theme feature has only been out for a few months, letting users add a touch of colour to the messaging app. During the initial rollout, the app let you choose and customise chats and wallpapers with up to 20 different colours. Now, WhatsApp looks all set to expand the theming options with more colours to choose from.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for iOS version 25.17.70 adds more colours to the app's Chat theme feature. Users can now choose from 18 new colours inside the Chat colour screen, along with the existing set of 20 original colours, thus bringing the count to 38 colours in total.

Like the existing colours, the new Chat theme colours can be applied to all chats as well as to specific chats. All the brand-new colours also support light and dark theme modes and will be applied dynamically to wallpapers and chat elements.
The new Chat theme colours are available for some iPhone users running the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS, and will be available to more users in the following weeks. If you wish to try it out at the earlier, make sure you've updated the app to the latest version from the App Store. Since the new colours are already out of beta on iOS, we can expect them to arrive in beta for Android soon, before it is widely available.
