Xiaomi is prepping to diversify its audio portfolio by finally entering the clip-on wireless earbuds category. The brand has shared more details about the earbuds and their design, including the case design and a launch timeline scheduled for later in May 2026.
Xiaomi's First Clip-on Earbuds Will Focus on Style
Xiaomi's China President, Lu Weibing, posted on Weibo the official images of the upcoming clip-on earbuds. While Xiaomi is known for its budget earbuds, the Clip-on offers looks surprisingly premium in its golden hue. They boast a glossy body with a highly unusual aesthetic.

From the images, it looks like the design incorporates a transparent sound-emitting section paired with metallic textures that mimic the grooves on a Vinyl record. It feels like a push to market these earbuds as a fashion accessory just as much as an audio device.
While Xiaomi hasn't revealed much about their specifications, user manuals of the earbuds have leaked before, giving us a brief idea. According to them, the earbuds will support touch gestures, allowing users to control playback, volume and life phone calls in a few taps.

The charging case features a USB-C port, indicator lights and a physical pairing button, as well as a built-in speaker to easily find it. Other details about the driver specs, supported codecs and connectivity details remain unknown at the moment.
Similarly, details about battery life and potential pricing also remain unknown. However, since the earbuds are launching later this month, which is less than two weeks, more information about the buds' specifications should surface soon, so stay tuned.
