Interested beta testers can head over to the Xiaomi Community website or app, tap on the "ME" option and access the now live "Beta testing recruitment" page.
If your device is eligible for the HyperOS 3 update, it will show an "Apply" button. Next, it will take you through a series of tests to judge your eligibility for the update. Once successful, it will show a "Passed" prompt in green.
Xiaomi will then release access to HyperOS 3 builds via over-the-air (OTA) updates. The main purpose of this closed beta testing program is to collect as much user feedback as possible. Hence, it is important to note that these HyperOS 3 builds will be highly unstable. So, make sure to keep your device data backed up and possibly avoid installing the update on your primary device.

Since Xiaomi at the HyperOS 3 launch event announced that the global version of the OS will see a tentative September 24, 2025 rollout date, expect the beta builds to arrive near and around that time.
The latest Hyper OS 3 update is feature packed with a new design and iconography update, Cinematic Depth and AI lockscreen customisations, Xiaomi Super Island, cross-device connectivity, AI features and more.
Overall, Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco fans in India are in for a treat with the new HyperOS 3 update. We will make sure to provide our experience with the OS once it goes live for us, so stay tuned.
