Xiaomi has officially kicked off the beta recruitment for the HyperOS 4 update for users across Global and EEA markets. The initial testing is currently open for a select group of smartphones, with plans to expand the rollout in the coming week.
HyperOS 4 Global Device Eligibility List Confirmed
Xiaomi confirmed the Global Beta recruitment via a post on its community channels. The HyperOS 4 Global Beta program is accepting applications starting today for Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and the Leica Leitzphone.

The pool will soon expand on September 17, 2026, adding phones like the Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. It is likely to expand further to more smartphones as time progresses, followed by a stable rollout by the end of this year or early next year.
As with all pre-release software, Xiaomi cautions that the HyperOS 4 beta may contain bugs and stability issues, and advises against installing it on a primary smartphone. Besides, it's also worth noting that rolling back to HyperOS 3 requires manual flashing and a full data wipe.
The brand has also detailed how to enroll into beta. Users can do it from the Xiaomi Community app by going to the Me tab and tapping on Beta testing. Upon doing so, they can tap on Recruiting test and complete the on-screen questionnaire to determine their eligibility.
Xiaomi notes that certain beta builds may require an additional Xiaomi Account verification step. Once accepted into the program, users will receive the HyperOS 4 beta update directly over the air.

For those unaware, HyperOS 4 will be based on Android 17 and brings a host of new features. Some of the prominent HyperOS 4 features include a new Life Aesthetics design language with Apple's Liquid Glass-like design, a redesigned lock screen, Stacked Notifications, Control Centre improvements and expanded HyperConnect.
HyperOS 4 beta rollout timelines for India are still unconfirmed, but expect more information to be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
