Summary

  • In Geekbench CPU test, the A19 Pro has scored 3,895 in single-core and 9,746 in multi-core.
  • It features six CPU cores and six GPU cores, however, the A19 Pro on the iPhone Air has five GPU cores.
  • The A19 Pro on the iPhone Air brings Apple's new C1X 5G modem, which is nearly 2x faster.

Apple has launched the iPhone 17 series and the Pro/Air models are powered by the latest A19 Pro chipset. Apple claims to deliver unparalleled CPU and GPU performance with the new A19 Pro processor. So to test it, we have benchmarked and compiled the specifications for the new A19 Pro chip. On that note, let's check out the Geekbench score and see whether the Apple A19 Pro can take the spot of the best SoC in 2025.

Apple A19 Pro Geekbench Score

On X, @Jukanlosreve has revealed the Geekbench score of the A19 Pro chipset. In Geekbench 6.5, the A19 Pro has scored 3,895 in single-core and 9,746 in multi-core. With this score, the Apple A19 Pro has become the fastest mobile CPU in the market, outranking even the Snapdragon 8 Elite in multi-core despite packing only six CPU cores.

Apple A19 Pro Specs

The Apple A19 Pro is built on TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm (N3P) process node and comes with a 6-core CPU paired with a 6-core Apple GPU. However, note that the A19 Pro on the newly-unveiled iPhone Air has a 5-core GPU. On top of that, Apple has included Neural Accelerators into the GPU itself for AI-heavy workloads.

Apple also mentioned that it has integrated its in-house Apple C1X 5G modem on the A19 Pro, powering the iPhone Air. It looks like the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 5G modem. Not to mention, a custom-designed N1 chip has integrated Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and Thread connectivity.

Apart from that, Apple has also improved the Neural Engine for faster on-device AI tasks. We’ll be updating this article with detailed benchmark results as soon as they are available, so stay tuned.
