MediaTek rolled out the Dimensity 7060 in 2025 but it's not available on many phones. However, we recently got access to the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 which is powered by this chip. By the way, the Dimensity 7060 is quite identical to the Dimensity 7025 in terms of the CPU and GPU. So, we benchmarked the Dimensity 7060 on Geekbench, AnTuTu and various other tests to see how it stacks up.

First off, the Dimensity 7060 scored 727,597 points on the AnTuTu V11 benchmark. Most of the points come from the CPU (295,026) and UX (224,469) and the GPU performs poorly in this test with just 55,033 points. In case you are not aware, the Dimensity 7060 features the ageing IMG BXM-8-256 GPU from Imagination Technologies.
To give you some context, the Dimensity 7300 chipset scored 871,785 points, which makes it around 20% faster overall and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 achieves 832,323 points. That said, the Dimensity 7060 does have an edge over the cheaper Dimensity 6300 chip, which scored 531,619 points.

Next, coming to raw CPU performance, the Dimensity 7060 scored 1,056 points in single-core and 2,511 points in multi-core on the Geekbench 6 CPU test. We also ran the newer Geekbench 7 benchmark, where the Dimensity 7060 scored 920 in single-core and 2,360 in multi-core.
Thanks to the 2x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz, the Dimensity 7060 is around 6% faster than the Dimensity 7300 (992 points) and about 4% ahead of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor (1,015 points) in single-threaded work.
In multi-core performance, the Dimensity 7060 is slightly behind the Dimensity 7300 (2,781 points) due to only two performance cores. But again, it comfortably outranks the Dimensity 6300 (1,813 points) by about 38% in multi-core tasks.

Now, coming to thermals and this is where the Dimensity 7060 struggles. In our 15-minute CPU Throttling Test, the chip throttled to 66% of its maximum performance. It peaked at 223,023 GIPS but fell all the way down to 128,015 GIPS at its lowest in the 15-minute test.
To put it simply, the drop in performance is steep under sustained load and one of the major reasons could be the poor cooling system on the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2. In practice, the Dimensity 7060 is not meant for long and sustained tasks on the CPU as it can throttle within four minutes and start reducing its performance.

Finally, in the Speedometer 3.1 benchmark, which evaluates web performance and responsiveness, the Dimensity 7060 scored a modest 7.46 points. It offers a decent web browsing experience, but if you load a dense page with too much bloat, the processor might struggle to render it quickly.

Verdict
The Dimensity 7060 is a good chip if the phone costs below Rs 20,000, considering the price hike situation. Its single-core performance is actually strong for the price. It beats chips that cost more and that translates to a snappy UI and quick app launches.
That said, the IMG BXM-8-256 GPU is now several years old and it is very underpowered. In fact, we couldn't run 3DMark tests on this GPU. In addition, the 66% throttling stability means the chip doesn't hold its peak performance for long. It's fine for casual games, but that is it.
All in all, you can choose a Dimensity 7060 phone if you want responsive everyday performance at an affordable price. But if you can extend your budget, you are better off looking at something like the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor which offers solid performance with four performance cores and a newer GPU.
