The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 has become the go-to choice for many manufacturers and their affordable 5G smartphones, powering devices like the Vivo T4x, CMF Phone 2 Pro and more. The chip is positioned as an efficiency-first processor and aims to offer a balanced experience without draining the battery. We put the Dimensity 7300 through a rigorous suite of benchmarks to see how it performs, and here are the results.
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 AnTuTu Score
AnTuTu Benchmark | Score |
|---|---|
Dimensity 7300 AnTuTu Score | 871,785 |
CPU | 326,034 |
GPU | 97,731 |
Memory | 188,905 |
UX | 259,115 |
Starting things off with the most popular test of all, the AnTuTu benchmark, the Dimensity 7300 on the Vivo T4x posted a total score of 871,785. This puts the processor in the reliable mid-range category. The CPU score of 326,034 suggests the phone feels snappy enough for most users. However, the GPU is a major point of contention as it only scores 97,731.
The GPU seems to be the only major difference between the Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7300. The former scores around 50% more points at 147,724 than the Dimensity 7300, making it at least somewhat capable of running heavier titles at low graphics settings. The Dimensity 7300's GPU score indicates that it isn't built for high-fidelity gaming.
The Dimensity 7300 is an octa-core processor and uses ARMv8.2 instruction set architecture with 4x high-performance Cortex-A78 cores and 4x efficient Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU is an ARM Mali-G615 MC2. The overall benchmark scores suggest the processor will fly in day-to-day tasks and is fairly capable of multitasking. However, hardcore gamers might want to steer clear of it, as it's clearly not meant to handle heavy titles at higher graphics and frame rates.
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Geekbench Score
Geekbench 6 CPU | MediaTek Dimensity 7300 |
|---|---|
Single-core | 992 |
Multi-core | 2,781 |
Moving to raw processing power, the Geekbench 6 results paint a clear picture of what the processor is meant for. With a single core score of just 992 points and a multi-core score of 2,781, the chipset makes it clear that it's designed to offer a stable experience and not raw power.
This means the Dimensity 7300 handles standard Android workloads well but won't break any speed records compared to, say, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, or even its bigger sibling, the Dimensity 8400. The processor will offer ample power for social media scrolling and productivity apps.
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 CPU Throttling Test
CPU Throttling Test | MediaTek Dimensity 7300 |
|---|---|
Maximum Score | 326,195 GIPS |
Average Score | 315,756 GIPS |
Minimum Score | 299,447 GIPS |
Throttling Percentage (Higher is better) | 95% |
The benchmark we've all been waiting for has arrived, and the wait was worth it. The Dimensity 7300 truly shines in CPU throttling, punching above its weight. In our 15-minute CPU throttling test, the chip was remarkably consistent, maintaining 95% of its maximum performance throughout the test.
You know the processor is incredibly stable when both its average and minimum scores (315,756 and 299,447) are almost similar to its maximum score (326,195) GIPS. As for what this translates to, it means that you can use a Dimensity 7300-powered phone for extended periods without worrying about the device slowing down due to heat. The Dimensity 7300 is truly the most stable chipset in its segment.
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 3DMark Score
3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test | MediaTek Dimensity 7300 |
|---|---|
Best Loop Score | 850 |
Lowest Loop Score | 846 |
Stability | 99.5% |
The 3DMark test reinforces the narrative: excellent stability but low raw power. The Dimensity 7300 achieved a nearly perfect 99.5% stability, meaning frame rates won't drop even after prolonged gaming sessions. However, with a best loop score of only 850, the frame rate ceiling is quite low. As mentioned earlier, casual games will run fine, but heavy titles will need to be set to the lowest graphics settings to be playable.
MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Speedometer 3.0 Score
Finally, in the Speedometer benchmark, the chip scored a modest 8.40 points. While not an excellent score by any means, it shows that the device can handle modern web browsing. However, heavy pages with complex scripts might take a split-second more to load.

Verdict
The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 is the definition of a safe chipset. It trades GPU performance to offer rock-solid CPU and system stability and best-in-segment thermal efficiency. It's a great processor for casual users who value battery life, a cool phone and consistently good daily performance.
But, if you're a gamer, the GPU performance is simply too weak to recommend, and you might want to consider the Dimensity 8400 or Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 instead.
