MediaTek launched the Dimensity 8450 chipset in 2025, a successor to the Dimensity 8400 with minor upgrades. It's powering the Oppo Reno14 Pro and promises excellent performance and efficiency. However, how does it perform on benchmarks? To find out, we have benchmarked the Dimensity 8450 chipset across AnTuTu, Geekbench, 3DMark, CPU Throttling Test, and more. On that note, let's check out our findings.
Dimensity 8450 AnTuTu Score
AnTuTu V11 Benchmark | Score |
Dimensity 8450 AnTuTu V11 Score | 1,519,753 |
CPU | 602,541 |
GPU | 210,593 |
Memory | 281,413 |
UX | 425,206 |
First and foremost, we ran the latest AnTuTu V11 benchmark on the Oppo Reno14 Pro which features the Dimensity 8450 chipset. In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Dimensity 8450 got a combined score of 1,519,753 points. The 8-core CPU received 602,541 points, but strangely, the Arm Mali-G720 MC7 got a low score of 210,593 points in our AnTuTu run. Nevertheless, the Dimensity 8450 achieved a respectable performance on the AnTuTu benchmark.
Dimensity 8450 Geekbench Score
Geekbench 6 CPU | Dimensity 8450 |
Single-core | 1,603 |
Multi-core | 6,268 |
Next, in the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark, the Dimensity 8450 achieved 1,603 in single-core and 6,268 in multi-core. Since the 8-core CPU features eight Cortex-A725 cores without any prime core, the single-core CPU performance takes a slight hit. That said, the multi-core performance is pretty good, given that it's positioned in the upper mid-range segment.
Dimensity 8450 CPU Throttling Test
CPU Throttling Test | Dimensity 8450 |
Maximum Score | 264,702 GIPS |
Average Score | 241,937 GIPS |
Minimum Score | 193,232 GIPS |
Throttling Percentage (Higher is better) | 77% |
Now, in the 15-minute CPU Throttling Test, the Dimensity 8450 throttled to 77% of its maximum performance. Within the first six minutes, the Dimensity 8450 didn't throttle at all, which is quite impressive. Following that, the CPU reduced its clock speeds to manage the thermals. I would say the chipset is pretty capable at handling CPU-bound workloads under extreme stress.
Dimensity 8450 3DMark Score
3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test | Dimensity 8450 |
Best Loop Score | 4,004 |
Lowest Loop Score | 2,854 |
Stability | 71.3% |
Now coming to the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress test which evaluates the graphics performance, the Dimensity 8450 did pretty good. It got the best score of 4,004 points and the lowest score of 2,854 points after 20 loops. Not to mention, its stability stood at 71.3% which is not bad, per se.
Dimensity 8450 | 3DMark Solar Bay | 3DMark Steel Nomad Light |
Overall Score | 6,589 | 1,472 |
Average FPS | 25.05 FPS | 10.91 FPS |
To check ray tracing performance, we ran the 3DMark Solar Bay test on the Arm Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, and it got 6,589 points with an average of 25.05 FPS. And in the demanding 3DMark Steel Nomad Light test, the processor got 1,472 points with 10.91 FPS. Overall, I would say the GPU is quite performant for the upper mid-range segment.
Dimensity 8450 Speedometer 3.0 Score
Finally, in the Speedometer 3.0 benchmark, the Dimensity 8450 scored 13.9 points. It means that you will get a good web browsing experience while using web applications and browsers. The CPU is capable enough to render complex and heavy webpages without much friction.

All in all, the Dimensity 8450 packs the last-gen Cortex-A725 CPU core which is not just powerful, but also very efficient. The Arm Mali-G720 MC7 GPU is also quite good and maintains stability under heavy stress. Overall, the Dimensity 8450 is not a flagship-level chipset, but performs quite well in its price bracket. If you are getting a phone under Rs. 40,000 with this chipset, it would be a valuable pick.
