Bharti Airtel has quietly made changes to its International Roaming (IR) plan tiers in India. There are still 10 IR plans, but some of them now come with updated pricing and usage benefits with domestic coverage as well.
Airtel International Roaming Plans Pricing and Benefits
As before, Airtel has 10 different international roaming plans for customers to choose from. They can be availed independently or paired with both postpaid and prepaid recharges. Among all, the most significant change has been to the top-tier NRI plan, which now starts at Rs 4,999 instead of Rs 4,000.

It now acts as a dual-coverage plan, ensuring users are connected abroad and in India. It comes with 365 days of comprehensive coverage across 169 countries. However, users will also be able to enjoy a 2.5 GB daily data limit when connected to a home network.
The plan also includes unlimited 4G and 5G data, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. Moreover, while abroad, the plans also include 200 incoming and outgoing SMS for emergency alerts, bank OTPs, transaction alerts, call alerts and more.
That said, in case you are planning to travel abroad, make sure to check out the new International Roaming plans from Bharti Airtel. They start from as low as Rs 118 for 28 days and as high as Rs 4,999 for a year-long coverage abroad.
Airtel has been focusing a lot on improving its user experience across India. Not too long ago, the Airtel AI-powered fraud alert feature was introduced in the country. Besides, Airtel users can also avail free Perplexity Pro access for a year. Well, it looks like it all comes with the cost of price hikes on plans, which is understandable, especially since all leading telecom operators are set to do so.
