Android 17 Beta 4 recently debuted as the final major Beta update before Android 17 stable. Besides featuring a few new features and bug fixes, the release also brings a new Easter Egg game of connect the dots. This arrives three years after the existing Android easter egg game has remained unchanged.

Android 17 Easter Egg Connects the Dots

For the past few OS generations, stretching back to Android 14, Google has kept the Easter Egg fairly static. However, the latest Android 17 Beta 4 release brings a new game where users are greeted with a blank page displaying a ring of diamond-shaped dots.

Users must connect all the dots by stringing the diamonds together. Once completed, the full finalised Android 17 logo appears on the screen, animating forward through a starfield. That said, the space game remains the same with the live activity and an auto mode.

Once the haptic launch sequence completes, players are thrown into the classic space exploration mini-game that has seen quite a few changes in the last few releases. However, the improved game introduces a big update with new in-game activities, codenames and new planets to discover.

Android 17 Beta 4 also marks the debut of the completed logo within the OS itself. It's a classic, sunflower-like logo with what looks like a green exoplanet inside, which resides in a Cinnamon-bun-like structure. That's a direct callback to Android 17 being internally referred to as Cinnamon Bun.

With Google I/O 2026 dates confirmed for May 19, 2026, the brand is all set to introduce Android 17 features during the event. We should hear more about the features and their stable release date at the event, so stay tuned.
