When it comes to supporting older iPhones, Apple has undoubtedly set an industry benchmark. The Cupertino brand recently shipped a new iOS update to the 12-year-old iPhone 5s and iPhone 6. Now, it has released two new versions of iOS updates again for older iPhone models.

Those who still own vintage iPhone models like the iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 8, iPhone 9 and more can now download iOS 16.7.15 and iOS 15.8.7 builds based on the model of the smartphone. Shipped as EOL (End of Life) updates, they include important security fixes.

Installing these new iOS builds is important as they act as a barrier between exploits and also refine the overall iOS experience for bug-free usage. That said, besides the iOS 16.7.15 and iOS 15.8.7 builds, Apple also shipped the iOS 26.4 Developer Beta 4 update from the iPhone 11 to the latest iPhone 17e.
