Nothing’s budget-focused sub-brand CMF could soon expand its audio portfolio. The brand has kicked off a teaser campaign for what industry insiders suggest could be a fresh pair of open-ear wireless earbuds called the CMF Clip Pro.
The official CMF X account has shared a pixel-art image featuring the Pokémon Igglybuff. While the teaser itself doesn't reveal much about the product, reliable tipster Yogesh Brar has commented in the thread that it could be the "Ear Clip", aka the CMF Clip Pro.
However, Nothing and CMF co-founder Akis Evangelidis has quoted the same post, mentioning that it's a "new product category". While that would mean it may not be an audio product, perhaps it might be a new category of audio products, further solidifying expectations of it being the CMF Clip Pro.
That's because this teaser aligns with a recent supply chain leak. A device explicitly named the CMF Clip Pro was recently spotted clearing Singapore’s IMDA certification website (via The Tech Outlook). The regulatory listing confirms that formal testing is already underway, suggesting that an official debut might be around the corner.
Given their open-ear clip-style form factor, the earbuds might be aimed at those who work out or users who want to listen to music while not cutting out the outside world completely. While this would be CMF's first open-ear product, the brand's parent firm isn't a stranger to the form factor, thanks to the Nothing Ear Open earbuds.
Earlier this year, CMF cancelled its Phone 3 Pro due to the ongoing RAM crisis, and it was also revealed that the brand will be entering new categories. The CMF Clip Pro could basically mark the start of a new category and be CMF's next chapter.
While exact technical specifications and pricing information for the Clip Pro remain under wraps for now, more details will be revealed very soon. Stay tuned as further updates unfold.
