Oppo has shared a new ColorOS trailer on Weibo, showcasing a major UI redesign heavily focused on translucent elements and refined animations. It also reveals all the new features coming to the UI, including Fluid Cloud and quick settings changes.
ColorOS 17 Detailed in New Trailer
The trailer shared by ColorOS' official Weibo account highlights a new Liquid Glass navigation bar within the native Gallery app. This is immediately followed by a brief look at the updated notification shade, which now uses stronger translucent effects to blur the background elements.

The interface overhaul extends to the control centre as well. The quick setting tiles are gaining more rounded corners, structural lines, and a shiny, glass-like aesthetic.
The media controls are also receiving a visual upgrade in quick settings, as it introduces a new seekbar animation accented by a glowing line.

One of the pivotal changes to ColorOS 17 is the change to the Fluid Cloud framework, which shows Live Activities. The trailer demonstrates that Live Activities now appear at the bottom as a pill, which closely resembles the Now Bar layout used by Samsung.
Audio playback on the lock screen is also getting more interactive with a redesigned lock screen media player resting at the bottom of the display, with fluid, Liquid Glass-style animations.
The player now includes a dedicated lyrics option, and tapping this button expands synchronised text directly across the lock screen and home screen, moving as the song progresses. Lastly, Oppo also briefly showcases the extended lock screen customisations coming to ColorOS 17.

Oppo announced ColorOS 17 Beta for over 40 smartphones in China, including its latest Oppo Find N6 foldable, OnePlus 15 and Realme GT8 Pro. Some of the other phones include the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9s series and the OnePlus Ace 5 series.
ColorOS 17 beta testing is expected to last through October 2026 and while there's no timeline for the stable release yet, it is expected to follow in December 2026 if all goes according to plan. Consequently, the global stable launch is expected to roll out in Q1 2027.
