After confirming the Oppo Reno 17 series China launch for next week, Oppo has released a teaser revealing its design and key features that will set it apart from the previous generation.
Oppo Reno 17 Series Could Be Ailurophiles' Treat
Oppo's official Weibo account posted an official teaser video suggesting that the Reno 17's camera module design will remain unchanged. However, a key addition to it is a distinct cat-shaped glowing effect that illuminates under blue light.

This visual trick is rumoured to be part of an "Encounter Cat" special edition. Other expected colourways for the new lineup include Snow White, Cocoa Brown, Ice Moon White, and Starlight Pink.
Beyond the flashy exterior, the series could pack a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display alongside a massive 8,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Its Pro sibling could opt for a slightly more compact 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED with a 7,200mAh battery and Dimensity 8550 Super processor.
Memory configurations could range up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Both phones are also expected to pack 200 MP cameras alongside a 50 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP periscope telephoto snapper.

The Oppo Reno 17 series China launch date is confirmed for November 9, 2026, and could include the standard Oppo Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro smartphones. Besides these specifications, it could arrive with ColorOS 17 out of the box, which Oppo rolled out to even more devices this month.
With the China launch confirmed, those anticipating the series' arrival in India could be disappointed. That's because reports suggest the more compact Oppo Reno 17 Pro may not make it to India.
