Apple users have been enjoying console titles on their iPhones and iPads for quite some time now. Adding to the growing list of console titles supporting the Apple Silicon, Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Ultimate Edition is now available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Control Ultimate Edition Is Optimised for Smaller Screens
Remedy Entertainment announced via an X post that Control Ultimate Edition has arrived on iPhone and iPad. For those unaware, Control is a heavy, physics-driven shooter that was released all the way back in 2019, with the Ultimate Edition release following in 2020.

According to the developers, the iPhone release features dedicated touch controls and a completely reworked interface. Remedy also noted that the gameplay was adjusted to feel better on smaller screens, while retaining the intensity and unpredictability of the original.
Naturally, for players who would like to stick to a controller, Bluetooth Controller support is also baked in. Besides that, the developers are also using the Apple ecosystem and universal purchase system to grant players full access to the game across their iPhones, iPads and Mac devices at Rs 499.

This should allow players to seamlessly transition their gameplay experience across different devices within the Apple ecosystem, offering unparalleled convenience. As for the gameplay itself, initial users have reported the game crashing at startup, but all the major bugs should be fixed in a future update.
Control Ultimate Edition on App Store joins the already extensive list of AAA titles on Apple devices, including some of the most popular titles like Death Stranding, Assassin's Creed Mirage and the Resident Evil franchise.

With the existing list and more incoming, Apple's ecosystem remains one step ahead of Android in console-level gaming.
