The Vivo X500 series China launch date and camera details were officially confirmed recently and now, Vivo has given us our first look at the design of the top-tier Vivo X500 Pro Max.

Vivo's X series product manager Huang Tao has shared the first official look at the Vivo X500 Pro Max on Weibo. The smartphone is shown in a silver colour option along with a dual-tone orange hue.

The camera module follows the same large circular deco design as the Vivo X300 series. However, the camera bump appears to be similar to the Vivo X300 Ultra and retains the ZEISS branding.

Moreover, the image also shows off the smartphone with a dedicated teleconverter lens and a professional camera grip and case. While Huang Tao has not revealed its exact model, the kit looks similar to the Zeiss Teleconverter G2 Kit, launched with the Vivo X300 Ultra.

The phone could come with support for both 400mm and 200mm teleconverter lenses and the dedicated image grip could feature customisable buttons along with a built-in 2,300mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.

Vivo claims that the new camera architecture also pushes 17 stops of dynamic range using TCG-HDR tech. The phones will also feature CIPA 7.0-level stabilisation for the main and periscope telephoto cameras.

Aside from that, the smartphones will be capable of recording up to 4K @ 120 FPS videos with support for Dolby Vision and 10-bit HDR. Vivo X500 series will also support 10-bit 4:2:2 Log recording, ACES workflow integration and a dedicated 4K 240 fps slo-mo mode.

That said, the Vivo X500 series goes official in China on September 21, 2026. Aside from the Vivo X500 Pro Max, the lineup will also include the standard Vivo X500 and the Vivo X500 Pro. While the X500 Pro is expected to retain a similar design to the Pro Max model, the X500 might opt for a different look.
