Summary

  • Google's new #BestPhonesForever ad mocks Apple for copying existing Pixel Features.
  • The video starts with the iPhone reiterating the new features and the Pixel sarcastically calling it a “crazy coincidence”.
  • It also teases Pixel 10 series for the first time, confirming that the upcoming Pixel flagship phones are coming soon.

Following the criticism from users about iOS 26's Liquid Glass design being a nightmare to use, Google has seized the moment to make fun of iOS in its latest video. The firm's latest advert shines light on some new iOS 26 features that have existed on Pixels for a long time.

Google's #BestPhonesForever is a series of stop-motion videos where a Pixel and an iPhone are friends. In the latest video titled “Responding to MORE Rumours” the iPhone talks about how it's been trolled because it's doing the same things as the Pixel, insisting it's all just a “crazy coincidence”.

The iPhone laments being mocked online for coincidentally getting features that Pixels have offered for years. It describes features such as Live Translations for texts, Call assist, and Call screening as pure coincidences, with the Pixel satirically claiming the same, announcing for how long it has had the said features.

The video then ends with the iPhone asking “What are you working on for Pixel 10, just like out of curiosity?”, a playful dig at Apple trying to copy Pixel features by 'coincidence', of course.

This is not the first time Google has mocked iPhones in this series. The #BestPhonesForever series often shows Pixel as the laid-back, innovating friend and the iPhone as slightly out of touch who's always playing catch-up. Google has also mocked iPhones about how little it changes year to year and the lacking AI innovations.
