Google has officially teased its upcoming Fitbit Edge fitness tracker, confirming that it will be unveiled on October 12, 2026.

The tech giant shared a close-up image of the wearable alongside the tagline, "Get an Edge on your health." This gives us our very first official glimpse of the device ahead of its launch next week.

The teaser was shared by Google's official Google Health account on X and Instagram. We get a partial look at the Google Fitbit Edge's metal chassis.

The design appears consistent with the Google Fitbit Edge leaked images that surfaced recently (courtesy of Android Headlines), showing an elongated, oval-shaped display and interchangeable bands. The teaser also hints at the Canyon colour option, which Google uses for its Pixel Watch 5.

While the company has confirmed the Edge branding and reveal date, it has yet to disclose any of the Fitbit Edge specifications, features or pricing. Well, thanks to leaks and reports, we know quite a lot.

Google Fitbit Edge Specifications and Features: What to Expect

As per leaks, the Fitbit Edge could feature an always-on display, notification support and a selection of apps, including Google Maps, music controls and Find My Phone.

The tracker is also tipped to offer up to seven days of battery life and compatibility with both Android and iOS devices.

The reported feature set suggests that the Fitbit Edge could sit between the screenless Fitbit Air and Google's Pixel Watch lineup.

Unlike the Fitbit Air, which focuses on health and fitness tracking without a display, the Edge is expected to offer a screen and smartphone notifications while retaining a fitness tracker-style form factor.

Google Fitbit Edge Expected Price and Availability

Recent leaks and reports suggest that Google's Fitbit Edge could be priced between $149 (approx. Rs 14,500) and $199 (approx. Rs 19,500) in the US. If true, this would position it above the Fitbit Air and below the Pixel Watch 5.

While it's difficult to say how much the tracker would cost in India (if it launches here), since the Fitbit Air launched for Rs 13,999 in the country, the Fitbit Edge could be priced around Rs 20,000.

Google is expected to share more details when it unveils the Fitbit Edge on October 12. Whether the announcement will also include immediate availability, regional pricing and an India launch timeline remains to be seen.
