Google has confirmed that its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2026, will take place on May 19 and May 20, 2026, in Mountain View, California, with global livestreams planned for developers and fans around the world.
Google I/O 2026: What to Expect?
As in previous years, Google revealed the I/O 2026 dates after its annual interactive puzzle game unlocked the schedule, continuing the company's playful pre-event tradition. The official announcement from Google Developers Blog confirms that Google I/O 2026 will start from 10:00 AM PT (or 11:30 PM IST) on May 19, 2026.

The Google I/O 2026 event will showcase "the latest AI breakthroughs and updates in products across the company, from Gemini to Android, and more," inviting engineers, creators and tech enthusiasts to tune in live.
Google has hinted that Gemini-related announcements and developer tooling will again take centre stage. For those unaware, Google I/O events traditionally serve as the launchpad for major product updates and strategic launches, from OS upgrades and AI model enhancements to developer platform expansions.
Google I/O 2026 registrations for the free live stream and developer sessions are now open.
