Google's next Pixel Drop Tipped to Arrive next Month with Themes and AI Video Clips

Google is set to release its next Pixel Feature drop on November 4, 2025, bringing several new customisation and AI-powered features to Pixel devices. A leaked preview reveals that the update will include themed content packs, AI-generated video animations and enhanced VIP contact notifications.

More customisation options coming to Pixels soon

The new information arrives courtesy of MysticLeaks on Telegram, and headlining the update is the introduction of Theme Packs, a long-rumoured feature finally making its debut.

The first theme will be inspired by the upcoming movie musical "Wicked: For Good", aligning with the film's initial screenings. This suggests future theme packs may tie into cultural events. This is not the first time Google has done something like that and it is very similar to the previous wallpaper collaborations with Arsenal FC and The Pokémon Company.

The Pixel Studio app is gaining a new capability with AI-powered animations. Users will be able to select photos or GIFs and use the app to generate short AI video clips based on them. While Google hasn't specified the AI model, the tipster points toward it possibly being the recently announced Veo 3.1 or Veo 3.

Finally, the Pixel VIP feature, which allows users to set certain contacts as important, is getting more functional. The November drop will also introduce prioritised notifications for these VIP contacts.

Initially, this will be limited to WhatsApp and Google Messages. The feature will ensure users don't miss alerts from their important contacts. Google is expected to share more details about each feature next week, so stay tuned.

The November Pixel drop isn't as comprehensive for a "Feature Drop," which has historically always been packed with features. With features like Lockscreen Widgets and Custom app icon shapes already out in Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3, more features may arrive in the January Pixel Drop or with Android 17 in 2026.

As for the supported devices, the update is expected to roll out from the Pixel 6 all the way to the latest Pixel 10. However, the availability of features may differ depending on the phone.
