A few days back, Google officially launched its Pixel 10 series. Alongside adding new members to the Pixel family, Google has now announced its new comprehensive device protection program dubbed Pixel Care+.
The official Google Blog post claims that the new Pixel Care+ plans will "include industry-leading perks, like $0 deductibles for the most common repairs, premium support and using genuine Google parts." It will replace the existing Google Preferred Care and Fi Device Protection plans.
The new program aims to become the all-in-one care protection plan for Pixel owners with perks like unlimited accidental damage claims, extended warranty claims and mechanical damage protection. Additionally, Google will replace damaged screens and batteries for free if the user is subscribed to Pixel Care+
Apart from this, users will also get priority customer care support from Google, free post-warranty malfunction claims, self-service Google Store website claims, genuine parts replacement and optional loss and theft coverage.
That said, Google is currently deploying Pixel Care+ in the U.S. only. It has partnered with acclaimed device protection brand Asurion to enable the same. Apart from Pixel smartphones, Pixel smartwatches, tablets and certain Fitbit devices are covered under this new plan. Users can head over to the Google Store Help page to know more.
As for the prices, Pixel Care+ plans start as low as $5 (approximately Rs 440) for a month and can go up to $299 (approximately Rs 26,300) for two years of coverage. Plans which will include loss and theft protection, will start from $6 (approximately Rs 530) and will go up to $339 (approximately Rs 30,000).

To apply and claim benefits for Pixel Care+, users will need to either need to add and file for their device via the new My Pixel app or head over to the Google Store website to do so. Also, it is important to note that users will need to apply for Pixel Care+ within 60 days of purchasing their new Pixel device to be eligible to enjoy all the above-mentioned benefits.
