HMD has silently launched the HMD Arc 2 in Thailand. It's the successor to the 2024 HMD Arc and maintains the budget status with an LCD display and Unisoc processor.
HMD Arc 2 Specifications and Features
The HMD Arc 2 is strictly an entry-level phone and could be a good option for students and people looking for a no-fuss secondary device. It comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ 60 Hz IPS LCD display with a waterdrop-style cutout. It's the same panel as the one used on the HMD Arc from two years ago.
Arc 2 also retains the 13 MP main sensor and the 5 MP selfie camera from its predecessor. For performance, the Arc 2 relies on the Unisoc T603 chipset, a marginal step up over the Unisoc 9863A inside the HDM Arc. The phone comes with 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB storage. There is also support for microSD card storage expansion.

One key demerit of the phone is that it comes with Android 14 (Go Edition) in 2026. This is what the first Arc shipped with, and HMD has not promised any software upgrades for the Arc 2. Besides that, the phone brings a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual-SIM 4G, GPS and a USB-C port.
In terms of pricing, the HMD Arc 2 starts from 2,990 Thai baht (approximately Rs 9,000) for the 4 GB + 64 GB variant. The brand has not revealed the pricing of the 4 GB + 128 GB model. It will be sold in Dark Blue and Golden Beige colour options.
