Barely a year after launching its first module phone, HMD Fusion, the brand is already working on a successor. The HMD Fusion 2 has surfaced online, revealing a customisable and repairable design.
HMD Fusion 2 could arrive with Snapdragon 6s Gen 4
According to leaks from tipster smashx_60 on X, HMD Fusion 2 will feature Qualcomm's recently announced Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset alongside a 6.58-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

The leaks further suggest the Fusion 2 could arrive with a dual-camera setup featuring a 108 MP main sensor with OIS and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. Besides, the phone could also boast NFC, IP65 rating, dual speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those unaware, HMD Fusion was the firm's first shot at a customisable/modular smartphone with a mechanism called Smart Outfits. Well, the HMD Fusion 2 will be doubling on the same with its Smart Outfits Gen 2 system with upgraded Pogo Pin 2.0 interface.

The tipster notes that the new outfits will not be backwards compatible with the first-generation HMD Fusion. A separate post revealed an expanded lineup of new modules, including:
- Casual Outfit with a Kickstand
- Wireless Charging Outfit
- Rugged Outfit
- Gaming Outfit
- Camera Grip Outfit
- Speaker Outfit
- QR and Barcode Scanner Outfit
- Smart Projector Outfit.
And like the original HMD Fusion, the Fusion 2 is expected to be repair-friendly with parts like screen, battery and cameras being easily replaceable. Besides this information, there's no word on HMD Fusion 2's potential launch date or pricing yet.
However, considering the HMD Fusion launched in India for Rs 22,999, we expect its successor to also make it to the Indian shores. Stay tuned as we will cover more about the device and its specifications when it goes official.
