HMD has expanded its feature phone lineup with the Nokia 2360 Flip, a new flip phone designed for children and senior citizens. It focuses on basic calling, emergency assistance and parental controls to keep distractions away.
HMD Nokia 2360 Specifications and Features
Like other HMD feature phones, the Nokia 2360 looks like a basic flip phone with a T9 keypad. Flip it over (pun intended), and users can find a secondary display at the top with a camera, while the back of the phone features a speaker grille with an SOS button.

When held for three seconds, the key automatically calls a designated responder while also texting five emergency contacts. Speaking of which, the phone relies on a companion app called Family Assist. Available for iOS and Android, this tool allows a relative to remotely configure the flip phone using SMS commands.
This means the Nokia 2360 Flip does not require an active mobile data plan to be updated. Additionally, when handed to a child, parents can engage a PIN-secured School Mode on the phone. This locks the interface down to just the clock and emergency calls, preventing distractions.

Guardians can also restrict incoming and outgoing communications to a whitelist of approved numbers or selectively disable the QVGA camera and built-in games.
Specs-wise, the phone features a 2.8-inch QVGA inner and 1.77-inch QQVGA outer display alongside a 1,450mAh removable battery. HMD is promising up to 15 hours of standby. There's 2G with dual SIM, a USB-C port for charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
